“Manchester United’s new manager, Rúben Amorim, warns £60M player to find a new club or face potential contract termination, citing his role in Ten Hag’s dismissal.”

A 3-4-3 system offers the dual advantage of defensive stability and attacking fluidity, relying heavily on the wing-backs to transition between roles. When the opposing team is in possession, the wing-backs retreat to form a compact back-five, and when their team has the ball, they advance to provide width and contribute to the attack.

For Manchester United, this tactical setup could pose an immediate challenge due to the current lack of fit left-sided defenders. However, in the long term, once injured players return, this system could significantly benefit the team, especially with the right personnel in place.

In goal, Andre Onana is expected to retain his role as United’s first-choice goalkeeper. Signed from Inter Milan in July 2023, Onana has started all but one of United’s 14 games this season. Despite a shaky start, his performances have improved over time. His shot-stopping abilities, such as the outstanding double save during the recent 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce, have become a notable strength. Onana is also keen to showcase his ball-playing skills, a key factor in United’s decision to bring him in as David de Gea’s successor.

In defense, the 3-4-3 setup would feature three central defenders. Manchester United bolstered their defensive options over the summer by signing Leny Yoro from Lille and Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich. De Ligt has had an inconsistent start to his time at Old Trafford, while Yoro has yet to make his debut after fracturing his metatarsal during the first game of the club’s pre-season tour in the United States. The club hopes to see the French defender return to action in November, and once he regains match fitness, Yoro could become an essential player in United’s starting lineup. His potential as a future star makes him a priority, and he could thrive alongside experienced defenders like Lisandro Martinez and De Ligt.

Bruno Fernandes remains a pivotal figure as club captain. Although he has struggled to replicate his best form this season, his ability to produce decisive moments could prove invaluable. Rúben Amorim, rumored to be a managerial candidate, would face the task of bringing out the best in Fernandes if he takes charge.

In attack, United’s front three could consist of Rasmus Højlund as the main striker, flanked by Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford. This trio was also deployed in Erik ten Hag’s final game as manager and has the potential to deliver results.

A potential strongest lineup for Manchester United under this system could include Onana; Yoro, De Ligt, Martinez; Diogo Dalot, Kobbie Mainoo, Fernandes, Noussair Mazraoui; Rashford, Højlund, and Garnacho.
