Joshua Zirkzee’s future at Manchester United appears increasingly uncertain, just six months after his £36 million transfer to Old Trafford. The Dutch striker joined United in July following a standout campaign with Bologna, where he scored 12 goals in 37 appearances and played a pivotal role in the team’s qualification for the Champions League under Thiago Motta. However, Zirkzee has struggled to replicate that success in England.
The 22-year-old was brought in by Erik ten Hag, who envisioned him as a key competitor alongside Rasmus Højlund and Marcus Rashford in United’s attacking lineup. Yet, the managerial shift to Ruben Amorim, coupled with the adoption of a 3-4-3 system, has left Zirkzee sidelined and unable to establish himself in the team.
According to reports from *Gazzetta dello Sport*, Juventus could provide a potential lifeline for Zirkzee. The Italian giants, now managed by Thiago Motta, are reportedly considering a January loan deal for the forward. Motta, who enjoyed a productive relationship with Zirkzee at Bologna, is said to be keen on reuniting with him in Turin. A move to Juventus might offer Zirkzee the opportunity to revive his form and regain confidence under a familiar coach.
