Paul Pogba’s 18-month suspension from professional football has officially come to an end, allowing the French midfielder to resume his career. However, he is in no rush to commit to a new club and intends to take his time before making a final decision. According to reports, Pogba is carefully evaluating his options and is unlikely to determine his next destination before the conclusion of the current season.

Due to the current transfer window restrictions, Pogba has limited immediate opportunities if he wishes to return to club football right away. The primary leagues that remain available to him are Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States and the J1 League in Japan. While these options remain open, Pogba is prioritizing a return to one of Europe’s top leagues. His ultimate goal is to join a team that competes in elite continental tournaments, such as the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League.

The 31-year-old midfielder has his sights set on regaining his place within the French national team, with a long-term ambition of representing France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He believes that playing at the highest level in European club football will provide him with the best opportunity to impress national team selectors and increase his chances of being called up for international duty once again.

Despite his time away from competitive matches, Pogba has maintained his physical condition through rigorous training. During his suspension, he worked closely with a personal trainer to ensure he remained in peak shape. Additionally, he participated in informal matches while residing in Miami with his family, ensuring that his skills and fitness levels did not deteriorate during his enforced absence from professional football.

Several clubs have already expressed interest in signing Pogba, with French side Marseille and Italian club Fiorentina reportedly among those keeping a close eye on his situation. Additionally, unnamed clubs from Spain’s LaLiga have also made inquiries about his availability. However, despite receiving these offers, Pogba has already turned down proposals from clubs in Saudi Arabia as well as Brazil’s Serie A. His decision suggests that he remains committed to competing in a highly competitive European league rather than pursuing financial incentives in other regions.

Now that he is once again eligible to play, Pogba is expected to carefully assess his next steps. Rather than rushing into a decision, he is taking a patient approach to ensure that he makes the best possible choice for the next phase of his career. His priority remains securing a move that aligns with both his professional ambitions and long-term aspirations, particularly his goal of returning to the French national team in time for the next World Cup.
