BREAKING: Melanie Kamayou, Wife of Andre Onana, Victim of Frightening Robbery – 25-Year-Old Man Faces Charges!

In a deeply unsettling event that has sent shockwaves through the football world, Melanie Kamayou, the wife of Manchester United’s goalkeeper Andre Onana, became the victim of a distressing robbery outside a high-end Italian restaurant in Cheshire on March 29, 2025. The incident unfolded in the restaurant’s car park, where Kamayou was reportedly ambushed and stripped of several high-value possessions. Among the stolen items were a luxury Hermes Birkin handbag valued at approximately £62,000 and a Rolex watch, both of which signify significant monetary and sentimental worth.

The traumatic experience has left Kamayou shaken, not just physically but emotionally as well. The severity of the incident prompted her to cancel a scheduled business trip to Cameroon, which was due to take place the following day. Sources close to her indicated that the emotional aftermath of the robbery was too overwhelming to continue with her travel plans, underlining the psychological toll such events can have on victims, regardless of their social or economic standing.

Law enforcement authorities acted quickly following the attack. Cheshire Police promptly launched an investigation into the matter, mobilizing resources to track down the suspect. Their efforts led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man, identified as Liam Ross, from Bradford. Ross has since been formally charged with robbery. Additionally, he faces a separate charge connected to the supply of cannabis, suggesting a possible broader criminal background.

Ross made his first court appearance at Chester Magistrates Court shortly after his arrest. The case is set to proceed further, with a follow-up hearing scheduled to take place at Chester Crown Court in May. This upcoming court date will provide a more in-depth examination of the charges and may determine the course of legal action to follow.

The incident has drawn widespread attention not only due to the victim’s close association with a high-profile Premier League player but also because of the audacity and brazenness of the robbery. It has sparked discussions about the security of public figures and their families, especially those living in areas perceived to be safe. For the Onana family, this harrowing episode has undoubtedly caused a significant disruption to their lives, serving as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced even by those in the public eye. As the legal process unfolds, the football community continues to rally in support of Kamayou and her family during this difficult time.
