BREAKING: Liverpool Plotting £170M Triple Transfer Move After Securing Jeremie Frimpong Deal

    adminBy adminMay 21, 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Liverpool are showing no intention of slowing down in the transfer market as they gear up for a major squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 season. Under the guidance of newly appointed manager Arne Slot, the Merseyside club is setting the stage for a transformative summer, aiming to build a team capable of competing at the highest level both domestically and in Europe.

The first major move is already in motion, with Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong on the verge of completing a €35 million switch from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. Frimpong is poised to become the first signing of the Arne Slot era, but he is unlikely to be the last. The club’s new manager, working closely with an updated recruitment team, is actively pursuing several additional high-profile signings to shape the squad in his image.

According to reliable sources, Liverpool have set their sights on three further additions: a central midfielder, a versatile attacking player, and a left-footed centre-back. These positions are seen as crucial to implementing Slot’s preferred tactical style and improving the overall balance of the squad.

One of the top midfield targets is Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners. The Dutch international is reportedly valued at around £50 million and is well-regarded for his high work rate, incisive passing, and tactical intelligence. He is viewed as a perfect fit to operate alongside current midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, offering both quality and depth in the middle of the park.

In the attacking department, Liverpool are tracking Johan Bakayoko, a rising talent from PSV Eindhoven. The Belgian winger has caught the eye of several top clubs across Europe, but Liverpool are believed to be ready to make a move worth over £40 million. Bakayoko’s pace, flair, and adaptability would provide a fresh dimension to Liverpool’s forward line, adding strength in depth and tactical flexibility.

Defensively, Sporting CP’s Gonçalo Inácio is a leading candidate to bolster the backline. The 22-year-old Portuguese centre-back, known for his composure and ball-playing ability, has a £51 million release clause. His profile as a left-footed defender makes him a natural target for a Liverpool side looking to evolve its defensive approach.

Should these four targets be secured, Liverpool’s summer outlay could exceed £200 million. It’s a clear signal of the club’s intent to support Arne Slot’s vision and mount a serious challenge for silverware in the coming season. With significant financial backing and a coherent recruitment strategy, a new and ambitious era is dawning at Anfield.
