Fluminense’s emerging talent, Andre Trindade, has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, with speculation surrounding interest from clubs such as Liverpool and Fulham.
At 22 years old, Andre, currently engaged in the Club World Cup with Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense, shared his aspirations amid the tournament’s progression. While harboring dreams of a Premier League stint, he emphasized his current commitment to concluding the season with Fluminense and striving for success in the Club World Cup.
In remarks conveyed through Ben Jacobs, the Brazilian midfielder stated, “Competing in the Premier League is a significant dream. My main focus now is finishing the season with Fluminense and pursuing our dream of winning the Club World Cup. Nevertheless, my ultimate goal is clear—to play in the Premier League.”
According to Jacobs, Fulham appears to be the frontrunner for Andre, with reports of a preliminary agreement between the club and the Fluminense player. Fluminense is purportedly seeking a fee exceeding £20 million, and there are indications they might hold out for £30 million.
Although Liverpool was previously linked with Andre earlier in the summer, Jurgen Klopp sought multiple midfield additions for the team. The German coach continues to eye a midfielder, but it remains uncertain whether Liverpool will actively pursue Andre, despite the player’s expressed eagerness to join the Premier League in 2024.
