Assuming control at Liverpool with Leroy Sane’s arrival as Anfield says goodbye to a familiar figure.

As the January transfer window approaches, Jurgen Klopp faces crucial decisions for Liverpool, and Mirror Football aims to shed light on potential moves for the club. Liverpool, known for significant winter expenditures, has witnessed impactful contributions from players like Virgil van Dijk, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo in recent seasons. Given the team’s title aspirations, further exploration in the transfer market is anticipated.

Mirror Football offers insights into potential transfer speculations ahead of Liverpool’s winter endeavors. While immediate departure options within the squad are limited, an interesting suggestion revolves around Thiago Alcantara. Despite notable moments, injuries have restricted Thiago’s league appearances to 67 since his high-profile signing from Bayern Munich in 2020. With his contract nearing expiration, a plausible January exit is considered, especially amid reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and La Liga.

Looking beyond established first-team players, loaning out young talents could prove wise. Conor Bradley, yet to feature in the Premier League due to a back injury, might benefit from a spell at a Championship side. With Mo Salah heading to the African Cup of Nations, Liverpool requires additional goal-scoring options. Leroy Sane, a former standout performer for Manchester City, emerges as an excellent choice. His contract with Bayern Munich has only 18 months left, potentially making him available for sale if a new deal isn’t reached.

Addressing the urgent need in the center-back position following Joel Matip’s injury, Maxence Lacroix, frequently linked with a move to Anfield, showcases his skills at Wolfsburg. With a relatively short remaining contract, a January transfer seems feasible. Furthermore, with Bradley expected to depart, Trent Alexander-Arnold would be the sole natural right-back at Liverpool.

Kyle Walker-Peters, excelling for Southampton in the Championship, emerges as a potential option to fill the right-back gap, having previously played in that position for Tottenham.
