A Premier League Team Considers a Temporary Loan Move for a Striker from Saudi Arabia, Targeting Roberto Firmino.

There are signs reminiscent of Benzema’s departure from Real Madrid last summer, indicating a possible exit from Al-Ittihad. Recent reports suggest his non-participation in a crucial club meeting before the preseason training camp, resulting in his exclusion from the tour. Chelsea appears poised to potentially pursue either Benzema or Firmino in the upcoming weeks. However, it’s emphasized that the departure of Armando Broja, either through a permanent transfer or loan, could be contingent on the arrival of a new striker, possibly one of the aforementioned players, during the winter transfer window.

Chelsea’s forward line has grappled with scoring challenges, exacerbated by Christopher Nkunku’s recurrent injuries. Despite recent commendable performances, the team’s victories have often been by narrow margins, underscoring the urgent need for added attacking prowess.

The club’s leading scorer this season is Cole Palmer, an attacking midfielder, with nine goals. Nicolas Jackson has contributed seven goals, but doubts persist about his consistent goal-scoring ability at this stage of his career. Broja and Christopher Nkunku, the other attacking options, have collectively netted only three goals. Nkunku has faced ongoing challenges in maintaining fitness since his arrival at Stamford Bridge.

While both Benzema and Firmino may find themselves in the latter stages of their careers, their wealth of experience—603 goals and numerous trophy successes—could provide valuable knowledge and firepower to West London for the remainder of the season. The extent of Mauricio Pochettino’s eagerness for new signings remains uncertain, as he expressed his readiness to engage in discussions with the sporting director or owners.
