In a recent interview with Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho disclosed undisclosed details about his exit from Manchester United.

In a recent interview, Jadon Sancho discussed his departure from Manchester United and shed light on his return to Borussia Dortmund on loan after a four-month suspension from first-team activities due to a conflict with United manager Erik ten Hag.

Sancho’s return to Signal Iduna Park in January marked a significant turn of events for the 23-year-old, who initially left Dortmund in 2021 for a substantial fee of £75 million. Despite 82 games at Manchester United, he fell short of expectations with only 12 goals and eight assists.

The idea of returning to Dortmund was first proposed by Marco Reus during a preseason friendly between United and Dortmund in July. Sancho recalled the interaction, stating, “That Vegas clip, he [Reus] was telling me to come back to Dortmund. That’s inside information, and he said ‘Whenever you’re ready bro, I’m here’.”

Expressing appreciation for the familiarity of Dortmund, Sancho said, “I’ve always had it in my mind that if it didn’t work out somewhere, BVB is a place I know, and everyone knows me inside out. It’s good to know the club and the players back me.”

Since his return, Sancho has made an impact with two assists in his first two appearances. He expressed joy, saying, “Happiness, enjoyment, fun, and energy. Those would be the words, and ever since I departed Dortmund, I always kept in touch with the players here, always watching the games.”

Sancho emphasized a lasting connection with Borussia Dortmund, stating, “BVB will always be part of my life, and no matter what I do in my future, the club will always have a soft spot in my heart. It’s mainly Marco [Reus] and obviously Jamie [Bynoe-Gittens] who I kept in touch with. Me and Jamie are both from London, so we kept in contact.”

Amid speculation about his future, Sancho is expected to secure a permanent move away from Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window. However, whether Dortmund will be his permanent destination remains uncertain. The player’s comments suggest a profound connection with the club, but the intricacies of the transfer landscape will ultimately determine the next chapter in Sancho’s career.
