Manchester United considering selling key forward to fund significant offer for PSG’s Mbappe.

Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly eyeing a significant move to secure the talents of Manchester United’s standout performer, Marcus Rashford, in the upcoming summer transfer window. The French club aims to fill the void left by the anticipated departure of Kylian Mbappe from Parc des Princes, with the forward expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer as his contract with PSG is set to expire in June, and no plans for an extension have been confirmed.

In light of Mbappe’s impending exit, PSG is actively seeking a high-profile signing to bolster their attacking options, with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz also being considered. However, recent developments indicate that PSG has redirected its attention to Rashford, despite his inconsistent performances this season, recognizing his importance to Manchester United.

While Rashford’s goal-scoring output this season has dipped compared to the previous campaign, PSG views him as a pivotal target for their post-Mbappe era. Reports from the Daily Mirror suggest that PSG is willing to make a substantial offer to entice Rashford away from Old Trafford, with rumors circulating about a potential £75m bid, although Manchester United values him closer to £100m.

Despite signing a contract extension last summer, there have been murmurs of discontent surrounding Rashford’s situation at Manchester United, exacerbated by incidents such as his absence from training after a night out in Northern Ireland. With PSG poised to pursue Rashford, the final decision could ultimately rest with Manchester United’s new minority shareholder, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as the summer transfer window approaches, making this a development worth monitoring closely.
