Liverpool maintained their pursuit of the Premier League title with a challenging 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Tuesday evening.

Diogo Jota proved decisive as he came off the bench to score with his first touch, canceling out Chris Wood’s early goal for Forest. The match was evenly contested, and Liverpool managed to secure a valuable point that keeps them six points ahead of Forest. Despite this, Arne Slot’s side remains in a strong position with a game in hand. The night also saw title rivals Chelsea and Manchester City drop points, keeping the title race wide open.

    **Player Performances**

*Alisson Becker (6):* The Liverpool goalkeeper conceded the opening goal to Chris Wood, who placed his shot expertly. Alisson, however, made some routine saves and was alert to a dangerous free-kick by Anthony Elanga in the second half.

*Trent Alexander-Arnold (6):* The right-back struggled in the first half, delivering numerous inaccurate crosses. However, his performance improved after the break, particularly in attack. Defensively, he managed to hold his ground but was tested by Elanga’s pace and movement.

*Ibrahima Konaté (5):* It was a tough evening for Konaté, who struggled with possession and misjudged several bouncing balls. His struggles led to his substitution in the second half.

*Virgil van Dijk (7):* Van Dijk played a mixed game, initially contributing to Wood’s opener by keeping him onside. Despite this, he grew into the match, offering composed defensive coverage and showcasing his leadership.

*Andy Robertson (6):* The left-back was active in the early stages, pushing forward and recovering well from a defensive lapse. Robertson was substituted in the second half as Klopp made tactical adjustments.

*Ryan Gravenberch (7):* Although Gravenberch lost track of Elanga in the build-up to the first goal, he made up for it with a solid overall performance. He transitioned to center-back after Konaté’s substitution and adapted well to the role.

*Alexis Mac Allister (6):* The midfielder showed promise early on but struggled to maintain consistency throughout the game. Despite moments of frustration, he became more influential in the latter stages.

*Mohamed Salah (7):* Salah was a constant threat to Forest’s defense, creating opportunities and even appealing for a penalty. However, he couldn’t capitalize on his chances and will likely feel he could have done more.

*Dominik Szoboszlai (8):* Quiet in the opening stages, Szoboszlai grew into the match, creating opportunities and almost scoring. His efforts were thwarted by an excellent performance from Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels.

*Cody Gakpo (6):* Gakpo worked hard and created opportunities but lacked precision with his final balls. He forced a strong save from Sels, showing flashes of promise despite a challenging night.
