Benjamin Šeško Speaks Out Over Limited Opportunities at Manchester United

    adminBy adminFebruary 11, 2026No Comments2 Mins Read

Benjamin Šeško has openly voiced his mounting frustration over limited playing time at Manchester United, admitting he feels sidelined and disappointed by manager Michael Carrick’s selection decisions. The 21-year-old forward did not hide his emotions, explaining that despite putting in strong performances during training sessions and remaining patient, he continues to find himself among the substitutes — even in fixtures where he was the only natural striker available for selection.

“I’m fed up,” Šeško reportedly said, expressing confusion over why he has yet to receive what he considers a fair opportunity to demonstrate his abilities. His candid remarks have ignited widespread debate among supporters, many of whom believe he deserves a starting role, particularly as United have struggled to convert chances and maintain consistency in front of goal.

When Šeško arrived at Old Trafford, expectations were high. He was regarded as an important figure in the club’s long-term attacking rebuild and seen as a player capable of leading the line for years to come. However, Carrick’s tactical approach has leaned toward versatility and fluid attacking systems, often utilizing interchangeable forwards rather than a traditional out-and-out No.9. This stylistic preference may partly explain Šeško’s restricted involvement, yet some critics argue that young talents require faith and regular minutes to grow into their potential.

There are also indications that his situation has created some tension within the squad. Reports suggest several teammates sympathize with his frustration, recognizing the effort he has put in behind the scenes. At the same time, clubs across Europe are said to be keeping a close eye on developments, aware that prolonged dissatisfaction could open the door to a potential transfer discussion.

For a young striker, rhythm and self-belief are vital components of development. Extended periods on the bench can stall progress and dent confidence, especially for someone eager to prove himself at the highest level. The next few weeks could therefore prove decisive for Šeško’s future at Manchester United. Whether he earns increased responsibility under Carrick or begins to consider alternative options elsewhere may depend on how the situation unfolds in the near term.
