BREAKING: Arsenal have surpassed City and Liverpool in the race to sign the £80m striker who scored 50 goals across all competitions last season. Arteta has approved him as Arsenal’s first January signing – Congratulations, Arsenal fans!

Arsenal and Juventus could be on the verge of a significant transfer involving Gabriel Jesus and Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic. According to reports from Spazio J, Juventus may be presented with the chance to sign Gabriel Jesus, contingent on Vlahovic heading to Arsenal. Such a swap could make sense for both clubs, as Juventus manager Thiago Motta reportedly prefers a more technically adept forward, while Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta is keen on acquiring a clinical finisher to solve his team’s scoring woes.

Arsenal’s struggles in front of goal have been a recurring issue this season, prompting fans to call for reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window. Although Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has been identified as an ideal target for the Gunners, the Magpies are said to have their sights set on Gabriel Jesus, whose long-term future at Arsenal seems uncertain.

Jesus has not been Arteta’s first choice as a striker this season, with Kai Havertz taking over the No. 9 role since early 2024. As a result, Arsenal’s pursuit of a reliable goalscorer has intensified, and Vlahovic has reappeared on their radar as a potential solution. The Serbian forward, who initially rejected Arsenal in January 2022 to join Juventus, remains a player of interest for Arteta.

Vlahovic’s current deal with Juventus extends until 2026, but negotiations over a contract renewal are reportedly uncertain due to his wage demands. This contractual impasse could open the door for Arsenal to revisit the possibility of signing him, potentially involving Gabriel Jesus in a swap arrangement. While the details of such a deal remain speculative, it has the potential to benefit both clubs.

Juventus, who are reportedly open to selling Vlahovic for around €70 million, might see Jesus as a fitting replacement. Motta, known for favoring technically skilled players, could find Jesus’s style a good fit for his tactical approach. Additionally, Motta is reportedly evaluating Joshua Zirkzee, a player he worked with successfully at Bologna, as an alternative.

For Juventus, Jesus’s technical abilities and versatility could bolster their attacking options, but it remains to be seen whether the Brazilian forward would be willing to move to Turin. On the other hand, Vlahovic might view a transfer to Arsenal as an attractive opportunity, especially if his future at Juventus remains unsettled. Ultimately, this potential swap deal could address the needs of both clubs, provided all parties reach an agreement.
