**”Bruno Fernandes Shares His Thoughts as Rasmus Højlund Breaks Goal Drought: ‘I Hope He Doesn’t Score!'”**

Manchester United’s young striker, Rasmus Højlund, finally put an end to his extended goal drought in a spectacular fashion during his team’s commanding 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday night. The Danish forward had endured a frustrating run of 21 matches without finding the back of the net, making his goal an immense relief for both himself and his teammates. His long-awaited breakthrough came at a crucial moment, helping Manchester United secure a convincing win.

Club captain Bruno Fernandes was particularly pleased to see Højlund back on the scoresheet, acknowledging how vital it was for a striker to regain confidence through scoring goals. Speaking after the match, Fernandes emphasized the significance of the moment for Højlund, stating that goalscoring is essential for forwards as it allows them to feel valuable to the team and to be directly involved in crucial plays. The Portuguese playmaker recognized that a goal can be a massive confidence booster for a striker, especially one who had been struggling for an extended period.

However, while Fernandes was happy for his teammate, he also made a lighthearted remark about hoping Højlund does not continue his scoring form—at least not in the immediate future. The reason for this playful comment is that the Danish striker will soon be leading Denmark’s attack against Fernandes’ own national team, Portugal, in their upcoming international fixture. As much as Fernandes supports his Manchester United teammate, he made it clear that he would prefer Højlund to hold off on adding to his goal tally when Denmark faces Portugal.

Despite his joke, Fernandes’ comments reflected the camaraderie and team spirit within Manchester United. He acknowledged the pressures that come with being a striker, particularly when goals are hard to come by. The Portuguese midfielder understands that forwards thrive on scoring, as it not only boosts their morale but also strengthens their role within the squad. He was visibly pleased that Højlund managed to break his barren spell, as it could help him regain confidence and contribute more effectively to United’s attacking play moving forward.

The victory over Leicester City was an important result for Manchester United, and Højlund’s goal added to the positive atmosphere surrounding the team. While Fernandes is thrilled to see his teammate back among the goals, he will temporarily set aside that support when Portugal faces Denmark. As the international break approaches, both players will shift their focus to representing their respective nations, knowing they will soon be competing against each other on the international stage.
