“Chelsea star confesses to ‘harming’ team, credits Mauricio Pochettino for fixing squad ‘chaos'”

Enzo Fernandez has admitted that by pushing through injuries this season, he inadvertently compromised Chelsea’s performances. He expressed appreciation for Mauricio Pochettino’s influence in “bringing order and identity” to the team.

The Argentine World Cup winner has been dealing with a hernia issue that has sidelined him for a significant portion of the season. After undergoing surgery last month, he will be out for the rest of the season.

Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica in a deal worth £106.8 million a little over a year ago. He has since praised Pochettino for playing a crucial role in improving team cohesion.

“When I first arrived, there were a lot of players, and the situation was quite chaotic,” Fernandez said in an interview with DSports.

“Mauricio gave the squad direction and a sense of identity. There’s been a noticeable change in our work ethic. He really improved everything.”

The team is now working harder and more seriously. Fernandez emphasized the importance of this commitment throughout the week, which leads to better performances during matches on the weekend.

Fernandez is now focused on making a comeback in time for Argentina’s Copa America campaign, which begins with a match against Canada on June 20.

“I endured eight months of playing through pain and relying on injections,” Fernandez explained.

“Ultimately, surgery was the best option, but it was a tough decision to make. I didn’t want to let on that I was hurting the team.”

“I want everyone to know that I’m okay, so there’s no need to worry.” He assured fans that his condition is improving daily and expressed his excitement for the upcoming Copa America.

“I expect to be training with the national team soon. My recovery is going well, and I’ve already started some training on the pitch.”

“This will be my first experience playing in the Copa America, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Through these remarks, Fernandez highlighted both his personal challenges and the positive transformation within Chelsea under Pochettino’s guidance. His dedication to the team, despite his injuries, underscores his commitment to the club’s success and his passion for the game. The midfielder’s optimism about his recovery and enthusiasm for representing Argentina in the Copa America reflects his resilient spirit and determination to return to top form.
