Fabrizio Romano Confirms Manchester City Poised to Sign PSG Forward with 42 Goals

    adminBy adminMay 15, 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Manchester City has made a significant and strategic move in the youth transfer market by securing the signature of Mahamadou Sangare, an 18-year-old forward from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). This exciting development was first revealed by the respected journalist Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed that the Premier League champions have successfully agreed terms with the young striker following his impressive performances within PSG’s youth setup.

Sangare has made a name for himself with an exceptional goal-scoring record at the youth level, netting 42 goals in just 46 appearances. Such a prolific tally highlights his natural talent in front of goal and places him among the most promising young attacking prospects in European football. Although he has yet to make an official appearance for PSG’s senior team, his involvement in first-team training sessions since December signals the high regard the club holds for his potential.

His rapid development and impressive goal-scoring feats have attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United. However, Manchester City acted swiftly to secure his services, aware of the opportunity presented by his expiring contract this summer. Romano’s confirmation of the transfer emphasized that City moved quickly to finalize the deal before any other competitors could intervene.

This signing aligns perfectly with Manchester City’s long-term recruitment strategy, which focuses on acquiring and nurturing young talents before their market value escalates. The club has increasingly adopted a forward-thinking and international approach to scouting, and Sangare’s arrival is a continuation of this trend. He joins a growing list of teenage prospects brought in to help develop the squad’s future core.

An earlier example of this strategy was seen in 2018, when City signed Claudio Gomes from PSG’s academy. Although Gomes eventually moved on to Palermo after failing to secure a spot in Pep Guardiola’s first team, his signing demonstrated the club’s willingness to take calculated risks on young players with high potential, even if immediate impact is not guaranteed.

In addition to Sangare, Manchester City is reportedly pursuing another promising young talent, 15-year-old American prodigy Cavan Sullivan from the Philadelphia Union. This pursuit further underscores the club’s commitment to global scouting and talent development.

Overall, Sangare’s transfer not only reflects Manchester City’s progressive approach to recruitment but also their ambition to maintain their position at the pinnacle of football now and in the future. If his youth-level goal-scoring form is any indication, the French forward could develop into a key figure in City’s dynamic attacking lineup. While the transition to the demands of English football remains to be seen, the early signs are certainly promising for both Sangare and Manc
