Frustrated Chelsea Player Spotted Exiting the Tunnel Following Substitution in Yesterday’s Win

    adminBy adminDecember 17, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

Chelsea’s leaders, including Behdad Eghbali, Laurence Stewart, and Paul Winstanley, were spotted leaving the stadium after Mauricio Pochettino’s team secured a 2-0 victory over bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United. This win marked a crucial comeback for Chelsea after facing three consecutive league losses.

In the second half, goals from Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson secured all three points for the Blues, propelling them to tenth place in the standings. Raheem Sterling played a pivotal role in Palmer’s goal, showcasing his prowess down the right side of Sheffield United’s penalty area. Sterling’s connection with Palmer resulted in his ninth goal involvement in just ten Chelsea starts this season.

Jackson’s goal, crucial for Chelsea’s comfort, came after Sterling played a ball around the hour mark, which Conor Gallagher redirected to Palmer. Palmer then delivered a precise pass to Jackson, who tapped it into the net. The players eventually realized referee Andy Madley had awarded the goal, sparking celebrations.

This victory provided a much-needed lift for Chelsea, who had previously struggled under Pochettino with notable wins against rivals Tottenham and a draw against Manchester City but suffered defeats to Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Everton. Despite the challenges, Football.london reported that the board continues to support Pochettino in his project.

Pochettino’s rapport with the upper management is evident, with directors frequently visiting the changing rooms after victories. Pochettino expressed his approval of the owners’ presence, emphasizing the importance of their proper behavior. He highlighted their positive involvement, discussing observations and the game after media obligations.

Pochettino welcomed the owners, including Paul, Laurence, Behdad, and occasionally Todd, as they shared insights and time with the team. The manager stressed the owners’ freedom to act as they please since they own the club. Overall, Pochettino appreciated their positive involvement, whether celebrating victories or supporting the team during challenging moments.
