Heartbreaking blow for Liverpool as their star performer from the Real Madrid victory is confirmed unavailable for the pivotal clash against Manchester City.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has shared worrying news about the injuries sustained by Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate during their 2-0 victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday night. While the Reds celebrated a memorable triumph, the win came at a significant cost, as both players encountered injury issues that raised concerns about their availability for upcoming fixtures.

Bradley was substituted in the closing minutes of the match due to discomfort, while Konate required medical attention at the final whistle. Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s crucial clash with Manchester City, Slot addressed the injuries but admitted there is still uncertainty surrounding their severity.

In his press conference, as reported by the *Liverpool Echo*, Slot acknowledged the troubling nature of the injuries, stating, “They are still being assessed, so it’s hard to say much right now. Let’s wait and see, but having to take Conor off and seeing Ibou unable to walk off properly after such a fantastic game is never a good sign. He should’ve been clapping the fans, but he couldn’t.”

At this stage, the timeline for their recovery remains unclear. Injury expert Physio Scout shared potential scenarios regarding their conditions. Bradley’s hamstring issue could range from a mild strain, which might see him recover in time to play this weekend, to a more severe injury that could sideline him throughout December. Konate’s situation appears more concerning, with speculation about a possible medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury. Depending on the extent of the damage, he could face a recovery period of several weeks or even longer.

Slot also discussed the team’s options for the upcoming Manchester City game. On a positive note, Trent Alexander-Arnold is fit and ready to return, providing some stability in defense. However, Konate’s potential absence leaves Liverpool with limited choices at center-back. This situation might see Joe Gomez or young talent Jarell Quansah step into the role during the demanding period ahead.

Liverpool supporters are undoubtedly anxious for further updates, hoping the injuries to both players are not as severe as feared. The team’s ability to cope with these setbacks will be tested, especially as they prepare for the critical match against Manchester City and navigate the busy fixture schedule.

With assessments still ongoing, the full extent of Bradley and Konate’s injuries should become clearer in the coming days. Until then, Liverpool must prepare contingencies to ensure they remain competitive as the season progresses.
