Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp is visibly upset as two additional key players are sidelined by injuries during training before the FA clash with Manchester United.

Liverpool’s upcoming match against Manchester United at Old Trafford may see them missing defender Ibrahima Konate, who might not recover from his recent injury in time for the game. Manager Jürgen Klopp expressed uncertainty about Konate’s availability, stating that although he didn’t train on Friday, they hoped he might train the next day. However, Klopp acknowledged it would be a tight race and indicated they might lose it. On a more positive note, Bobby Clark, who had to leave the Europa League victory over Sparta Prague due to injury, was reported to be feeling much better. Klopp reassured fans that Clark’s injury wasn’t as serious as initially feared, with just some discomfort and swelling. Ryan Gravenberch, sidelined since the Carabao Cup final due to an issue, has returned to training and is in contention for selection.

Despite these boosts, Liverpool still faces the absence of several key players due to long-term injuries, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, Curtis Jones, Diogo Jota, Joel Matip, and Thiago Alcantara. This situation puts additional pressure on the available squad members to step up and deliver in crucial fixtures.

Furthermore, Liverpool has to tread cautiously as Clark, Harvey Elliott, and Gravenberch are all at risk of receiving one more yellow card, which would result in a one-match suspension in the FA Cup. Klopp and his coaching staff will need to manage their game strategy and player selection carefully to avoid losing key personnel to suspensions at such a critical stage of the competition.
