**Transform Business Strategy into Product Goals:**
The Product Manager will interpret high-level business objectives into actionable product strategies, ensuring the product aligns with the company’s broader goals and value propositions.
**Define and Implement Product Roadmap:**
This role involves creating and managing a clear, progressive roadmap that will serve as a guide for the product’s development stages. The roadmap should reflect market needs, user demands, and long-term business vision, establishing a foundation for product growth and improvements.
**Execute Product Strategy:**
The Product Manager will execute product strategies that meet market expectations and organizational objectives, keeping the product competitive and aligned with user requirements and market trends.
**Provide Cross-Functional Leadership:**
This position demands effective collaboration across various departments to guarantee the product’s successful launch and adoption. The Product Manager will lead efforts involving multiple teams, such as development, marketing, and support, to drive cohesive product development and market entry.
**Lead Product Launch Initiatives:**
The Product Manager will spearhead initiatives to launch the product, coordinating resources and timelines to meet both commercial and customer requirements. They will ensure that each product release is strategically aligned with business priorities and customer expectations.
**Drive Profitability and Success Metrics:**
Managing the product’s performance in the market is essential. The Product Manager will track its commercial success, measuring profitability and ensuring it aligns with anticipated business outcomes.
**Deliver Market and Product Insights:**
The Product Manager will share data-driven insights with stakeholders, offering analysis on market dynamics, trends, and competitive positioning to help refine the product’s market strategy.
**Support Marketing and Differentiation:**
By working closely with the product marketing team, the Product Manager will highlight the unique selling points and distinct features that differentiate the product, supporting the marketing team’s initiatives to attract and retain customers.
**Document Requirements:**
This role involves creating high-level requirements that will inform the development team, offering clear guidance to ensure that product features align with strategic goals.
**Assist in Product Support:**
The Product Manager will provide support to the Product Owner and Product Marketing Manager, addressing product-related queries and helping refine product positioning and responses.
**Oversee Products Post-Launch:**
Managing the product lifecycle doesn’t end at launch; the Product Manager will monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, address evolving needs, and resolve any issues that arise.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
– A minimum of three years in a Product Manager or similar leadership role.
– Proven success in defining and launching impactful products.
– Experience in the tech startup environment, with at least three years of relevant expertise.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– A Bachelor’s degree is required.
– Strong skills in teamwork and collaboration.
– Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
– Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
– Willingness to travel within Nigeria and West Africa occasionally.
