Manchester United reaches tentative agreement with Crystal Palace for standout winger Michael Olise in a £60 million four-year deal, bypassing Liverpool and Chelsea’s interest.

Liverpool’s pursuit of Crystal Palace’s standout winger, Michael Olise, could face a hurdle, with indications suggesting the player favors a move to Manchester United. Despite Liverpool and Chelsea expressing strong interest in triggering Olise’s £60 million release clause, his apparent allegiance to Manchester United may sway his decision.

Olise’s inclination towards Manchester United is evident from his past decisions. Last summer, he turned down a move to Chelsea, despite their willingness to meet a £35 million release clause, opting instead to extend his contract at Selhurst Park with an increased release clause.

Despite facing some injury setbacks, Olise has maintained impressive form this season, contributing to nine goals in just 12 appearances, making him a highly sought-after prospect in the transfer market.

Liverpool, in their quest to reinforce their squad, identified Olise as a potential target to bolster their attacking options. However, reports from Footballwave suggest that Olise’s preference for Manchester United may prompt Liverpool to reassess their transfer strategy.

Although journalist Ben Jacobs hinted at a possible move to Liverpool for Olise during the January transfer window, the likelihood of such a transfer seems to have diminished.

This situation with Olise emerges as Liverpool seeks to revamp their forward line, especially amid uncertainties surrounding other player movements and inconsistent performances.

With the summer transfer window looming, Liverpool may need to broaden their search beyond Olise to secure the necessary reinforcements to sustain their competitive edge.
