Ruben Amorim set to call up five Manchester United academy prospects for Tottenham clash.

Manchester United have decided to promote five young academy players to the first team for their upcoming match against Tottenham Hotspur, as the squad faces a growing injury crisis. The club’s injury concerns have intensified in recent days, forcing manager Ruben Amorim to look toward the youth ranks at Carrington to fill key gaps in the squad for the trip to North London.

During his pre-match press conference, Amorim acknowledged that several first-team players were at risk of missing the game. However, the confirmation that Amad Diallo’s season has been cut short due to injury came as a significant setback. This unexpected news adds to the team’s woes, as midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is also set to be out for the next few weeks. In addition, both Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer have been ruled out of contention for the crucial fixture against Tottenham, further limiting United’s options.

As reported by *Scoop*, a well-regarded source for Manchester United’s youth development updates, Amorim has turned to the club’s academy for reinforcements. Among those called up is promising midfielder Jack Moorhouse, who has been making steady progress in the youth setup. Joining him is Sekou Kone, a talented prospect who recently recovered from an injury that had previously stalled his development. His return to full fitness has been well-timed, allowing him to earn a place in the senior squad.

Another notable inclusion is forward Chido Obi, who has been in outstanding form recently. The young attacker’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, and he could play a key role if United struggle to break down Tottenham’s defensive setup under manager Ange Postecoglou. Given his goal-scoring abilities, Obi might even be handed his first significant opportunity at senior level.

Additionally, left-back Harry Amass has also received a call-up after catching Amorim’s attention. Previously, there were reservations about whether Amass was physically ready to step up to senior football. However, he has managed to impress the coaching staff in training, and his inclusion suggests that Amorim believes he can make a meaningful contribution if needed. If given the chance to play, Amass would mark his official debut for Manchester United’s first team.

With these five academy players stepping in, Manchester United will hope to compensate for the absence of several senior squad members. The club’s reliance on young talent in challenging situations is not new, and Amorim will be eager to see how these promising players respond to the pressure of a Premier League clash against one of their top-four rivals.
