We are currently on the lookout for a skilled and seasoned Head of Finance and Accounts to lead and optimize our financial operations. This pivotal role involves comprehensive oversight of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance, all geared toward maintaining and enhancing the company’s financial health and integrity.
**Salary Range:** #400,000 – 600,000
**Minimum Education:** Bachelor’s Degree
**Experience Level:** Senior
**Required Experience:** Minimum of 5 years in finance and accounting
**Core Responsibilities**
1. **Financial Planning & Budgeting:**
Develop and implement robust financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives. This includes preparing detailed budgets and financial forecasts that support sound fiscal planning.
2. **Financial Reporting:**
Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that provide insight into the company’s financial position.
3. **Accounts Management:**
Manage the full spectrum of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and transparency in all financial records.
4. **Regulatory Compliance:**
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws, industry regulations, and internal policies to protect the company from financial risk and legal issues.
5. **Audit & Risk Management:**
Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, as well as implement effective risk management practices to safeguard the company’s assets.
6. **Team Leadership:**
Provide strong leadership to a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and mentoring team members to ensure high performance.
7. **Financial Analysis:**
Conduct thorough financial analyses to generate data-driven insights that support informed decision-making and strategic business planning.
**Required Qualifications & Skills**
– **Professional Certification:** Possession of certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent credential.
– **Experience:** Minimum of five years in finance and accounting, ideally within the security or a similar sector.
– **Knowledge:** In-depth understanding of financial laws, best practices, and industry regulations.
– **Leadership Abilities:** Proven skills in leading teams, with excellent communication, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
– **Technical Proficiency:** Competency in financial software and advanced accounting tools.
– **Educational Background:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
**Preferred Qualifications**
– **Industry Experience:** Prior experience in the security sector is an advantage.
– **Technical Expertise:** Familiarity with financial planning and budgeting software.
