Recent reports suggest that Zinedine Zidane, the former Real Madrid manager and iconic footballer, has reached a decision regarding his next coaching position amidst speculation linking him to Jurgen Klopp’s role at Liverpool.
Zidane, a recipient of the prestigious Ballon d’Or award in 1998, achieved remarkable success during his managerial tenure at Real Madrid, securing the Champions League trophy three times and clinching the La Liga title twice.
Despite his impressive track record, Zidane has remained without a coaching role since departing Real Madrid at the conclusion of the 2020/21 season.
While there were earlier rumors linking Zidane with a managerial return, particularly to Manchester United, recent indications hinted at a possible move to Liverpool.
However, according to reports from German outlet BILD, Zidane has chosen Bayern Munich as his next destination.
Bayern Munich is currently in search of a new manager following the confirmation of Thomas Tuchel’s departure at the end of the season.
This development coincides with reports suggesting that both Liverpool and Bayern Munich are competing for Bayer Leverkusen’s manager, Xabi Alonso.
When questioned about his future amid interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich, Alonso refrained from divulging specific details, emphasizing his dedication to Bayer Leverkusen.
Nevertheless, German football legend Lotthar Matthaus has urged Alonso to consider Bayern Munich over Liverpool, asserting that the managerial role at the German club would offer greater fulfillment, particularly as the successor to the esteemed Jurgen Klopp.
