Sancho has been sidelined at Old Trafford following a public dispute with manager Erik ten Hag and hasn’t played in a match since August. Reports suggest that Manchester United is open to considering offers for the 23-year-old in the upcoming January transfer window, possibly at a reduced price compared to the £73 million they paid to acquire him from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
While there’s a chance for Sancho to make a comeback to the Manchester United lineup under Ten Hag, Cole remains doubtful about this prospect.
Former Chelsea, West Ham, and England winger, Joe Cole, greatly admires Sancho’s immense talent and believes that the young player needs nurturing and maturity to fully realize his potential. In his opinion, resolving the situation would require cooperation from both parties involved. However, it’s becoming increasingly unlikely that Sancho will reconcile with Ten Hag, as he has been removed from a crucial WhatsApp group that provides essential information to the first-team squad.
Some of his United teammates have encouraged Sancho to apologize to Ten Hag, which could potentially pave the way for his return to the squad. Nevertheless, Sancho has not yet issued an apology and appears resolute in his stance.
