Man United’s Goalkeeper Andre Onana Suggests UEFA Should Have Assigned Lens Instead of Arsenal. Despite Acknowledging His Poor Performance, He Believes Excessive Criticism is Unjust, Pointing Out Another Player Who Played Worse in the Recent Match.

Manchester United faced a challenging 3-3 draw against Galatasaray in Turkey, with goalkeeper Andre Onana receiving criticism for his performance. Onana, acknowledging his subpar game, expressed frustration with the media and fans, pointing out that there was another player who played worse than him.

In the player ratings, Onana received a low score of 3 for a nightmare game, being faulted for both goals conceded. Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, and Shaw earned commendable scores of 7 for their contributions, while Lindelof received a 6 with some struggles in physical duels. Amrabat, on the other hand, received a disappointing score of 3, indicating a lackluster performance.

McTominay, Antony, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund earned scores ranging from 6.5 to 8, showcasing their positive impact on the game. Substitutes, including Kobbie Mainoo, Martial, Pellistri, and Dalot, received mixed ratings, with Mainoo standing out with a 6.5 for bringing calm to the chaotic midfield.

The manager, Erik ten Hag, received a rating of 6, with acknowledgment that no manager can control individual errors, such as the two howlers from the goalkeeper. However, there was a mention of the team’s struggle to manage games, indicating some responsibility on the manager’s part.

Overall, the player ratings highlighted individual performances, both positive and negative, contributing to the intense 3-3 draw. While some players excelled, Onana’s struggles in goal and a few lackluster displays raised concerns for Manchester United. The manager, despite external factors, faced scrutiny for the team’s overall game management.
